The UNSEEN: Thermalised Color Changing Hair

Look what I stumbled upon in the depths of the inter-web!

This company, The UNSEEN, are fashion “witches” (they’re more like gothic chemists) that create potions and experiments that offers unseen luxury products. A perfect example is in their newest collection: Fire.

Fire is a hair product that turns your hair into different hues based on the temperature of the environment. As you can see on the video, the model’s hair is black. Once heat is detected, the hair starts changing color. The company says they create various hues and pastel of colors that you can choose from.

This is such an interesting idea. The launch of this product was showcased in London Fashion Week along with Storm models.

Check out the rest of their innovative thermal products on their website!

Until next time, people – stay awesome.

A Visit To Who’s Next Trade Show

Who’s Next, located in Paris, France, is one of the largest trade shows in Europe where new, upcoming designers get the chance to showcase their work to buyers and the general public.

Per my school, I was able to get free tickets to the trade show! So I definitely jumped on this chance to get to see what is trending in the designer world along side two other colleagues of mine.

My first reaction was, “This place is huge!!” The exposition was held in various halls throughout the Parc des Expositions with up to 7 halls that showcased designers and conferences. You could easily get lost if you didn’t have some sort of map to show you around.

My favorite was the Urban hall as I could really relate to it more than the others. The displays were really thought out and the crowd were those around my age. But Who’s Next also had halls where you could find designs from the Asian market as well as designers specializing in accessories and jewellery.

Overall, it was kind of overwhelming but it was also interesting to see.

A few days later, myself and a few others were invited by one of our professors to go the last Who’s Next conference specializing on the Future of Fashion Technology. We were to go to this conference, interview the panelists and create an article for the Huffington Post. My collegues and I did just that.

Unfortunately, we do not know where our article stands. But I will keep you updated on that if I recieve any more news!

Anyway, below is a short clip of MY experience at the Who’s Next trade expo.

Enjoy!! And until next time, stay awesome! 😉
